Miramax will handle the domestic distribution of The Aviator, the Martin Scorcese-directed, Leonardo DiCaprio-starring Howard Hughes biopic. The movie's set to be released Dec. 17th.

Harvey Weinstein's probably still a little burned up over the multiple Cold Mountain Oscar disses this year, so look for him to step up his already-insane campaigning. We hear he'll be personally visiting each Academy member and shaking their children until they check off the Aviator box on their ballots.
