The message from the MPAA is clear: pirate a horrendously under-performing movie and go to jail. A 34-year-old Los Angeles man has been sentenced to 42 days in jail for taking a camcorder into The Alamo and recording the Disney mega-flop.

Isn't piracy largely driven by supply and demand? This guy should be released for being so inept at choosing pirate material. And the man was caught "when a projectionist noticed the light from his video camera and the sighting was confirmed through night vision goggles." It's comforting that military technology is available to combat the scourge of viewers in a theater for the wrong reasons. Let's get a pair of those night-vision babies into New York Minute and see what they turn up.
