Cee-Lo Was Charged With Drugging A Woman With E at a Crappy Sushi Bar

Yesterday, silken-voiced soul man Cee-Lo Green, legally known as Thomas DeCarlo Calloway, was charged with furnishing a controlled substance, after a 33-year old woman alleged that after the singer slipped a tab of ecstasy into her drink, she woke up naked in bed with him. Green has plead not guilty to the charge.

The L.A. District attorney investigated whether a sexual assault took place, but ultimately chose not to file sexual assault charges, citing a lack of evidence. The woman claims the pair were dining at Wokcano, one of a chain of mid-priced sushi restaurants around Los Angeles not usually known for hosting upscale clientele.

If Green, who waived his right to a speedy trial, is found guilty, he could face up to 4 years in prison for the charges.

Have you eaten at Wokcano? I have. A lot. A lot, lot, lot. And at the Santa Monica one, which is "the nice one." I've been there so many times, it's where I had three birthday parties in a row, solely because Wockano doesn't care if your meal is ruined by hordes of drunk 20-somethings.. It is fun. I like the outdoor fire pits. But...respectable? It's just Chanel lipstick on a sow.

If I may regale you with my former experience using x, I will say the shit is so bitter-tasting in pill form, I cannot fathom how it's even possible to "slip" it in anyone's drink undetected to begin with. And x doesn't knock you unconscious, if anything, it has much more of a speedy effect usually preventing the user from sleeping for quite a while even if they wanted to... provided the shit referenced in the story was real.

The same went for stories about how dudes would "slip" GHB into girls' drinks at parties; that shit tasted like liquified green peas; even in the most obnoxious of mixed drinks, appletinis, hurricanes, etc, I don't know how someone could not taste the shit and spit it out immediately... oh, but anyway..

Now, now, there's no need to be ugly. I clarified this in another response, but the batches I've experienced were from a fellow who was well versed in chemistry and made all sorts of fun drug concoctions that were still quasi-legal at the time (this is around 1998), and the GHB he made tasted very strong. So strong, in fact, it was downright fucking putrid. Also, this was well before GHB became known to the douchebag set for its powers, so, you see, some people actually were able to enjoy it for what it was before it developed a reputation for being a date-rape drug. It was another time, and if you had ever tried it in its pure form, the taste was inescapably horrendous.

So, uh, if you want to accuse me of defending date rapists simply for offering an anecdote from my experiences, it's your website, I guess..? 'Welcome.
