On this, the day of the NFL season opener, I bring you a recent plea from Minnesota Vikings linebacker Desmond Bishop for Michael B. Jordan. There is nothing I want more than for this to come to be.
What am I missing?
Probably nothing, but I'm not sure. I think we're suppose to be jazzed about the remote prospect of a movie penned by an NFL linebacker with Michael B. Jordan in the lead role—which, admittedly, I would very likely watch because Jordan is a fantastic actor. But it's difficult to get very excited when we can't read the script and don't even know the premise.
Guys! It's okay to just be earnest sometimes. I thought it was adorable that Des Bishop tweeted that at MBJ, especially in response to a tweet about twerking, rather than a brand new tweet a propos of nothing. As a MBJ fan and a Cal Bears fan, I love the adorableness being put forth into the world. That's all. Cheer up, it's Friday!
I think several of us were just confused because it was apropos of nothing and because Bishop refers to "this script" instead of "a script." We went searching for rhyme and reason where there was none. But you're right, there is a certain adorableness at work here.

Cuz I wrote a script for a re-imagining of West Side Story that involves rival twerk teams.
In my unbiased opinion, I do believe this will be the best movie of all time.
