According to TMZ, Jim Carrey’s on-and-off girlfriend, Cathriona White, was found dead from a possible pill overdose, just a few days after the couple broke off their relationship.

Carrey and White—who was 28—reportedly met in 2012 and rekindled their relationship in May. They broke up again on Thursday, TMZ reports, the same day White tweeted a cryptic goodbye message. She also reportedly referenced their breakup in a suicide note.

According to the site, her body was discovered Monday night after two friends went to check on her. Authorities reportedly found pills on the scene and believe she may have died from an intentional overdose.

Carrey’s representatives have issued a statement confirming White’s suicide.

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” Carrey stated. “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
