Kardashians Troublemaker Killed By Drug-Related Flesh Eating Disease
A man portrayed as a troublemaking sidekick on the Keeping Up with the Kardashians franchise died this week from a flesh eating disease related to heroin use, TMZ reports.
Jamie Sangouthai, a friend of Lamar Odom—the estranged basketball player husband of Khloe Kardashian—was pronounced dead Sunday. He was 37.

Sangouthai—who was portrayed on the show as an opportunistic drug abuser constantly causing drama in Khloe and Lamar’s relationship—checked himself into a hospital earlier in the weekend complaining of an infected arm, TMZ reports.
Jamie Sangouthai — Lamar Odom’s best friend — did not die from a OD, but it was drug related ... a flesh-eating disease caused by dirty needles.
The exact terms are necrotizing fasciitis — infection — and chronic intravenous narcotism — IV drug abuse ... according to the L.A. County Coroner.
Sangouthai was reportedly with Odom during the former Clippers player’s infamous crack binge.
Still, the New Yorker was said to be unhappy with his portrayal on the franchise, which routinely depicted him as a troubled hanger-on looking for favors. On one episode of the spinoff show, Khloe and Lamar, Odom discovered Sangouthai, apparently wasted, collapsed in a pile of liquor bottles, and he was later blamed for marital issues between Odom and Kardashian.
“There was a lot of points when the show got edited. Jamie was the bad guy. He was the drug addict,” says Genovese, who managed his pal during his Khloe & Lamar days. “During that time, he was just hanging out, doing what a million people in L.A. do. He never did drugs on the couch all day.”
“There was a lot of scripted stuff. Producers told Lamar to tell Jamie he was partying too much.”
Sangouthai was devastated by his unearned reputation, Genovese claims.
“He was hurt by it,” he reveals. “He said, ‘That’s not me. I’m not that guy.’”
A source reportedly told E! News that Khloe skipped her niece North West’s birthday party at Disneyland earlier this week because she was “too upset” to attend. Khloe expressed her grief over Sangouthai’s death on Twitter Sunday night through the medium of Emoji.
💔 when does it stop? RIP Jamie Sangouthai
