This is the life of a fleeting star turned tabloid celebrity turned B-movie actress: last Saturday night, Mischa Barton—one-time face of The OC—"hosted" an event at an Atlantic City casino. Her duties reportedly consisted of sitting alone in a VIP area all night while doing shots of tequila.

According to TMZ, Barton was all "no new friends" at Pool After Dark at the Harrah's casino last weekend.

Barton was the celeb guest host for Pool After Dark last Saturday night at Harrah's Resort. A rep for the club tells us hosts usually have entourages 5-15 people deep, but the former "O.C." star thinned her crew down to a party of one.

Sounds like Mischa could've used a wingman — we're told she stayed at the club until 3:00 AM, talked to no one, ordered a bottle of champagne and a bottle of tequila, and did shots ... by herself.

On the other hand, drinking free booze alone might sound like an ideal night for some of us. But, damn, 3 a.m. is pretty late. That's a lot of time to be internally debating what you're going to watch on Netflix when you get back to the hotel.

A few days before the gig, Barton tweeted how excited she was to "hang out" at the party.

She forgot to specify "by myself."
