Terence Malick is being sued for failing to produce on a double-feature documentary. According to lawyers, Malick's Sycamore Pictures "has blown through nearly $6 million over the last six years on this project with nothing to show for it." So pretty much how the rest of us felt about Tree of Life.

I think he's been shooting it for about a year now. It's probably taking so long because he's doing multiple projects simultaneously.

That's because he doesn't show his work until it's finished. Even on his scripted features no one working with him knows what exactly he's doing. No real script. Honestly, for a double feature $6 million is not that much compared to what is commonly spent on a film these days.

I didn't see "Tree of Life." From where I am standing, that appears to be a good thing.
