“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play,” asserts the quote attributed to Plato by fools, “than in a year of conversation.” No so for Gérard Depardieu. For Gérard Depardieu, as it turns out, a few moments of airborne pee were all it took to discover everything there is to know.

In a recent interview with France Inter radio, promoting his upcoming film Valley of Love, Depardieu reflected on his career. A career that spans 181 films. A career that is probably memorable for something other than pissing in an airplane while shouting “Je veux pisser, je veux pisser,” but if it is—hmm, no one knows it. Not you, and certainly not me.

Gérard Depardieu understands this.

Via the Guardian:

“When I travel around the world what people know is that I pissed on a plane, that I’m Russian and that I wrote a letter of complaint to the prime minister.”

True.
