It's finally over. "The One Where They All Go On To Failed Spin-Offs And Disappointing Movie Careers While Waiting Quietly For The Ten Year Reunion Special" has aired, and America has its happy ending.

Well, you had the happy ending unless you tried to TiVo it and lost the last couple of minutes because of NBC's creative scheduling: the finale started at 8:59 p.m. and ended sometime after 10:00 p.m., a move undoubtedly designed to thwart DVR's everywhere. At $2 million for a 30 second ad, the network wasn't going to rely on the honor system to stop people from blasting through commercials (which had more laughs than the show itself). And the tactic seems doubly evil/brilliant when you consider that the DVD will be available on Tuesday.

If it's any consolation, our spoilers turned out to be accurate (except for the proposal—which they may have filmed to throw off tipsters).

Meanwhile, we're left to deal with our post-Friends existence, one where the sky seems a little smoggier, the coke is always cut with PCP, and the hookers never throw in a free one because we were too quick on the draw.
