Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown who has been in a medically induced coma since being found unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday, is "fighting for her life," her family said today in a newly released statement.

Earlier today, TMZ reported that Brown's brain had a "minimal response" to one stimulus during testing, which doctors interpreted as a positive, but small, uptick in her condition. The site later followed that up with another report stating that Brown was doing "significantly better," as indicated by reduced swelling and increased oxygen in her brain, as well as movement in her eyes.
But that latter update came before the new statement from the Houston family, which takes a much graver tone. If Brown survives with her life, it's possible she may never make a full recovery: according to TMZ, her brain was without oxygen for two to five minutes while she laid partially submerged in her bathtub.
