Uh-huh, honey. James Franco and Seth Rogen made a shot-for-shot parody of Kanye West's Bound 2 music video, and if you can put aside the fact that you're about to see Rogen's hairy shoulders on a Monday morning, it is pretty excellent. [YouTube]

Family Guy killed Brian? Really? Someone on Gawker mentioned something about a death of a dog in last night's episode, but it didn't even occur to me that it could be Brian. He's a much a pivotal character as Peter!

Yeah, really. I don't much watch the show anymore, but he was always my favorite character. Was there any reason to get rid of him? Seth MacFarlane isn't leaving, obviously. The rolling stone article says they just wanted to shake things up and that it would be "fun" to kill Brian off???

I didn't think it was serious until I saw people say so this morning and upon checking around it seems he is "really" dead. I am sadder than I should be about it. Or just the right amount of sad, I'm not sure.

God no! Please tell me it wasn't so! I may have been too high to appreciate the storyline last night because I thought that was one of their non-sequiturs. Like the time Peter blew-up a school and was sentenced to a week -just in time for the next episode.

They said in their letter today that it was a good, positive commercial, they just take issue with the fact that it *is* a commercial. They allegedly asked Goldieblox not to use it and the reply was a lawsuit. They're not proud of that song at all, but they clearly don't want to pick and choose, they want to stay true to their "no commercials" stand. I think my problem with it is that Goldieblox didn't ask to use the song and didn't file for fair use/parody protection prior to the commercial being released. Instead they went to the courts after the band asked them to cut it out. Maybe if they'd gone through the proper channels this wouldn't be a thing. Either there'd be no ad at all and the company wouldn't be happy or there would be and the band wouldn't be happy but either way nobody would feel like someone just straight up stole from or attacked them.

Interesting perspective MizJ. I just assumed it was some marketing guru around my age who has tweens. I've seen several commercials targeting my generation's children by using music, slang and fashion from my high school and college years.

HOLY SHIT! I was curious so I went to look. That is so bad. It doesn't work at all!!! People will buy this? I've heard other Kanye stuff and it wasn't this bad...I am confused.

The whole album is less listener friendly than his work so far. Bound 2 is probably one of the more, umm, challenging songs on the album. My assumption, based on the album and it's cover, is that it's supposed to be geared more towards people taking it and remixing it as a lot of the songs have like 4 to 5 possible hooks that don't really get capitalized into hit songs.

I literally watched Bound 3 through the gaps of my fingers covering my eyes. I'd like to take this opportunity to objectify and body shame Seth Rogen by pointing out he seems to have gained back weight since his shocking slim down awhile back. Also, hairy men are sexy... but that carpet of shoulder hair is a touch too far. Hie thee to a hot wax special.

Rogen has joked about his hairy back, but this is the first time I've seen it. Yikes. Those epaulets of hair are just, wow. So I started thinking....I really like Rogen, I've always liked guys with the kind of self-deprecating humor he does. So what would have happened if we'd met, and I'd fallen in love with him, but then when we got naked I saw the hairy back? I don't know....I think I'd feel like I was sleeping with an animal. So then I thought, well, okay, lots of guys are waxing these days. What if he waxed it? But then I thought about how then it would start slowing growing back, and I think feeling stubble on his shoulders would be far worse!! Wow, I have spent WAY too much time thinking about this!
