Some people say this happens because Hollywood is one big old circle jerk and that everyone who makes movies loves movies. While that’s probably true, there’s also the possibility that people in movies are just like us and maybe it's just really hot outside. Clara Darko and Brutzelpretzel at Slacktory have chronicled Hollywood’s naval gazing in a supercut of 139 clips from 93 films. Beginning with Ed Wood and ending with Matinee, their video tells the story of going to the movies… with movies. It’s pretty lovely, especially if you can overlook the inclusion of a scene from The Notebook.
