Taking a page from the American Horror Story playbook, Lost creator J.J. Abrams has just released a teaser for his latest Bad Robot project, that tells you basically nothing while scaring the living shit out of you at the same time.

Simply entitled Stranger, the minute long teaser shows a swamp thing stumbling about in murky water while a cryptic voice (J.J? God?) narrates the fact that this stranger arrived "knowing nothing of himself" and that "what begins at the water shall end there." Swamp thing continues to stumble until the 0:45 second mark, when the haunting piano music abruptly stops and an image that I still can't unsee flashes on the screen.

Have fun not sleeping this week, even though I'm still not entirely certain what it is that's quite so terrifying.
