Jimmy Fallon opened his first monologue of The Tonight Show Monday night with one promise: "I'm Jimmy Fallon and I'll be your host… for now." He then thanked all the hosts who have come before him, including "Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno."

And then, proving The Tonight Show is no longer an hour where jokes go to die, he did one thing that Leno could never and would never do: he danced hip-hop with Will Smith. They took the audience through decades of glorious moves like the "Kid 'N' Play," the "Leg Thing No One Can Do," the "Spank That," and "The Carlton." Just like the "Evolution of Mom Dancing" he did with Michelle Obama last year, the entire skit is hilarious.

He also showcased a ridiculous number of famous friends who all bet him $100 that he'd never be the host of The Tonight Show.

If this is the new Tonight Show, Leno can stop checking his voicemail waiting for the "please come back!" call. It ain't gonna happen this time.
