Hollywood fuckin' sucks.
Ummmmmmmm FUCK. THAT. As someone who has with the death of a family member who suffered from dementia, I can not support this. I will write Disney every fucking day. Fuck this shit.
If it's not called Dental Damnit I'm out.
I can almost see the thought process behind the dental show: Ok, we need a protagonist people will like and respect. We'll make the protagonist a woman, a medical person of some kind but it can't be a doctor... oh we'll go dentist! Dentist is perfect because then, like with doctors, we can use her patients as a way to move the scope of the show beyond her life for filler episodes without having to get creative! Ok, but most people don't like dentists, right? We've got to add some element that makes it work. We'll have her husband be a cheating douchebag! That'll generate some immediate sympathy for the character.
The Alzheimer's Project strikes me as suffering mostly from a really shitty synopsis. I imagine it'll be a "comedy" in the sense that Weeds was a comedy. Kinda funny, but mostly really fucked up and sad if you think about it for more than a few seconds.
