In the latest lawsuit centered on a movie in which Justin Timberlake recites words from a page, a Greek screenwriter claims that Fox and New Regency's 2011 Timberlake-Amanda Seyfried thriller, In Time, plagiarized an idea from a screenplay he showed to Fox 15 years prior.

Odysseus Lappas, aside from having the best name ever, alleges that he had written a synopsis for his film Time Card, and shared it with a Fox script reader back in 1996. Said reader, Lappas claims, offered him $50,000 for the synopsis, which Lappas refused as he wanted to write and direct his film as well.

While it seems suspect that a script reader, who is generally hired solely to give recommendations to the studio and imbued with no such power to purchase, could offer tens of thousands of dollars solely for a film treatment, Lappas is sticking to his claim and is seeking over $4.5 million in damages.

This is not the first lawsuit this year sparked by a film that starred Justin Timberlake.
