HBO announced on Wednesday that John Oliver's highly anticipated new show, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, will debut Sunday, April 27. According to reports, the half-hour show will be a "satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events."

On Tuesday, serial plagiarist and "not famous" famous actor Shia LaBeouf invited the public to join him at his latest cry for help in Los Angeles. According to the press release for his new performance entitled "#IAMSORRY," LaBeouf will be "in situ" at an art gallery for six days so he can apologize for his sins.

On Wednesday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ashton Kutcher told stories about his brother's wedding and, because he's Ashton Kutcher, talked about slapping balls. But he also had an important message for Charlie Sheen, the actor he replaced on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

Aaron Sorkin, the creator and writer behind Sports Night, The West Wing, and The Newsroom, says he bonded with Philip Seymour Hoffman over their shared addiction struggles. According to a Time obituary penned by Sorkin, Hoffman always knew death was a possibility.

Before its publication by New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof on Saturday, the Los Angeles Times op-ed department passed on Dylan Farrow's letter alleging sexual abuse by her father Woody Allen.

Though police suspect he died from an overdose, Philip Seymour Hoffman's autopsy results were inconclusive, the New York City medical examiner's office said Wednesday. Spokeswoman Julie Bolcer told the Los Angeles Times, "We are awaiting results and additional studies."

Woody Allen appears ready to publicly address his daughter Dylan Farrow's accusations of sexual abuse. According to The New York Times, Allen has "asked for, and may get, a chance to respond — in an Op-Ed piece." Whether or not the piece will actually be published "comes down to the editing process."
