One of the fabulous things about being a celebrity is people will listen to you talk about anything you want to talk about—even if you straight up admit you have no idea what it is you’re talking about.

Like Bradley Cooper, who was told by someone (His publicist? The reporter asking him the question? The subject line of an unread email from itsmejlaw@gmail.com?) that Jennifer Lawrence had penned an essay about gender disparity.

“If you think that you only deserve a certain amount, that’s not correct, and it’s about changing that mindset and sticking up for yourself,” the actor told E! News on Tuesday, admitting he had yet to read the full essay. “So that’s a great thing.”

If stars are truly anything like us—and I think they are—Cooper had it open in a tab and planned to get around to it eventually, until Chrome quit unexpectedly and it seemed like such a hassle to reopen all those tabs. But then the next issue of Lenny pops up in his inbox, and he’s hit with a pang of guilt, but also he doesn’t remember ever signing up for it—was that Jen too, or did he accidentally click something? So he just deletes it along with all the Seamless offers and Gilt updates, because you know what, life is too short and he saw the blurb on Facebook already.
